Share content from the Finder:
The AirDroid app is probably the easiest way to manage your Android phone from your Mac or Windows PC. It lets you quickly transfer files between your phone and your computer, or from one Android phone to another, without requiring any USB cables. Or use the Share feature:
- Open the file that you want to send, then click Share within your app. Or Control-click the file in the Finder, then choose Share from the shortcut menu.
- The Share menu lists several sharing options. Choose AirDrop.
- Select a recipient from the AirDrop sheet. After they have accepted and the file has been sent, click Done.

Receive content with AirDrop
When someone else nearby attempts to send you content using AirDrop, you can choose to decline or accept their request. You'll see this request either in the AirDrop window or as a notification:
The content you receive on your Mac is saved to your Downloads folder.
If you can't see the other device in AirDrop
If a device doesn't appear as an AirDrop recipient, make sure that both devices have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on and are within 30 feet (9 meters) of each other. If that doesn't help, check these settings on your Mac or iOS device.
On Mac:
- Choose Go > AirDrop from the menu bar in the Finder, then make sure that AirDrop is turned on.
- Check the ”Allow me to be discovered by” setting at the bottom of the AirDrop window. When AirDrop is set to receive content from Contacts Only, both devices must be signed in to iCloud, and the email address or phone number associated with the sender's Apple ID must be in the Contacts app of your Mac.
- If the Mac is from 2012 or earlier, click “Don't see who you're looking for?” in the AirDrop window or sharing sheet of the sharing Mac. Then click “Search for an Older Mac.”
- If the receiving Mac is using OS X Mavericks or earlier, make sure that an AirDrop window is open on that Mac: choose Go > AirDrop from the menu bar in the Finder.
- Make sure that “Block all incoming connections” is turned off in Security & Privacy preferences of the receiving Mac.
On iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:
- Check the AirDrop setting in Control Center. When AirDrop is set to receive content from Contacts Only, both devices must be signed in to iCloud, and the email address or phone number associated with the sender's Apple ID must be in the Contacts app of your iOS device.
- Make sure that Personal Hotspot is turned off in Settings > Cellular of the receiving iOS device.
AirDrop system requirements
To share between a Mac and an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, you need any of these devices and operating systems:
- Mac from 2012 or later (excluding the mid-2012 Mac Pro) using OS X Yosemite or later
- iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iOS 7 or later
To share between Mac computers, both computers must be one of these models:
- MacBook Pro introduced in late 2008 or later, excluding the MacBook Pro (17-inch, Late 2008)
- MacBook Air introduced in late 2010 or later
- MacBook introduced in late 2008 or later, excluding the white MacBook (Late 2008)
- iMac introduced in early 2009 or later
- Mac mini introduced in mid 2010 or later
- Mac Pro introduced in early 2009 (model with AirPort Extreme card) or mid 2010
- iMac Pro (all models)
In this update, we made several amendments to make “Files” and “Photos” better.

- “Favourites” feature for your faster access to important folders.
To make file navigation easier, we added “Favourites” in “Files” on desktop, where you can bookmark your frequently used file paths for easy access. Following is how to avoid tedious file searching:
Navigate to desired folder > click on the star on upper bar (as shown below) > now you can find the bookmarked path via “Favourites” with simply one click!

We are shutterbugs who want to capture every precious moment on our phones like you do, so we added “Photos” section in the last update to make sure photo management can be easier for all.
Therefore you won’t be able to enjoy every feature of Postman while using it as an chrome application. As stated on the Postman website, Postman builders have stopped the support for the chrome application. The second reason is the main concern for us to not recommend you download this application for chrome. 
After collecting feedback from fellow users, we decided to add up few more features, including: “Rotate”, “Save”, “upload” and “Display Videos” in “Photos”.

“Rotate” & ”Save” saves all the hassles for you!
There are two ways to rotate and save the images in “Photos”
Open “Photos” > click on “Rotate” icon on the upper bar(as shown below ) > the adjustment will be automatically saved and synced to your phone.
Alternatively, you can open “Photos” > double click the chosen photo to “Preview” mode > find “Rotate” icon in the bottom > once finished, click “Save” icon.
“Upload”
You can now not only upload all types of files from computer to your device(s) via “Files”, you can also upload all your images into “Photos”.
Mar 25, 2017 If you are looking for an alternative to Windows Robocopy for Mac OS X, look no further. The copy files (cp) command in Terminal works just like Robocopy. CP will copy files in OS X and preserve their structure and attributes. You can also see in. Robocopy mac os.
There are two ways to do so:
Open the destination folder in “Photos” > drag and drop the chosen image(s) to the right block
Open the destination folder in “Photos” > click “Upload” icon on the upper bar (as shown below) > choose images from the pop-up folder > Click “Open”
“Display Videos”
You can now preview your video with thumbnail in “Photos”. Better yet, you can differentiate the media type by the icon on the corner of each thumbnail.
Noted: You cannot play the video directly IN “Photos”, you will have to download it first to your desktop in order to watch it.
